Purpose of this website

The purpose of this website.

Thousands of alcoholics have recovered from the fatal disease of alcoholism through using the AA programme in all its facets. AA's first legacy is Recovery. The very base of all its programmes, it is depicted as the base of the AA Logo - The Triangle. Consisting of Recover at its base and Unity and Service on the other two sides. Take away Recovery and the triangle collapses.

Yet much of the time AAs spend together does not give sufficient emphasis on Recovery. The AA "Big Book" which is the foremost of primary AA material has only two types of content. The first is all about the 12 steps of the programme and the second is a series of personal stories to help newcomers identify themselves as alcoholics.

This website promoted and maintained by the WSLB is devoted entirely to understanding the AA Programme as a whole and on working the 12 steps. Hence the website name.

On this website are public and private and restricted areas. Access to the private areas is through registration. When you reach the content that is private or restricted, you will automatically be informed that you have no access, unless you register. To gain access through registration, use the 'create an account' link. WSLB reserves the right to admission.

The 12 Step Workshop

The 12-Step Workshop - or SWS for short is the entry-level programme for people to work the 12-steps of AA. Coached by AAs, for AAs and of AAs, the SWS is a 3-day programme.

The Promises Workshop, or PWS for short, is for people who've maintained long-term sobriety and have completed doing at least two SWSs. They need to have also actually worked all the 12 Steps in their entirety.

Train the Trainer

WSLB believes in the AA tradition of "give it away to keep it". Hence a Train the Trainer (T3WS) Course.
