The Promises Workshop

The PWS

The Promises Workshop, or PWS for short, is for people who've maintained long-term sobriety and have completed doing at least two SWSs. They need to have also actually worked all the 12 Steps in their entirety.

It is a 3-day programme. It also has 2-Sunday follow-up sessions (optional) for participants to report progress, share breakdowns and get coaching on moving forward.

Participants need to have an active relationship with their AA Sponsors. WSLB does not charge any fee for the PWS. It is free. However, AA's Tradition7 applies as does the WSLB's Financial Policy.

AA's 12 step programme carries with it 12 Promises. The PWS is a workshop aimed at enhancing the ability of the participants to realise these 12 Promises in their lives, on a sustainable basis. The PWS provides deeper insight into the tools, slogans and steps of AA and provides real-time ways to use these in making progress in life itself, the ultimate objective of the recovery programme of AA.

This workshop is meant for those who are willing to face up to the reality of their lives as they did to their addiction. It is tougher to practice since it's done at a high awareness level. WSLB recommends that participants repeat the PWS three times to achieve self-generating sustainability.

The PWS provides tools and techniques from the world around to begin the lifelong journey of growth, fulfilment and happiness. Elementary as they may be, the coaching emphasises the practice of these in all our affairs. The participants begin to operate from the pitch of their lives instead of being commentators of their own lives!

For the long-term sober AA, this workshop is of immense value, packed into a short 3-day investment on their own lives.

Train the Trainer

WSLB believes in the AA tradition of "give it away to keep it". Hence a Train the Trainer (T3WS) Course.
